April

Back by popular demand is our Wims' Got Talent Variety Show! The variety show features student acts from singing and dancing to karate, yoga & more! This is a huge event and a lot of help is needed from volunteers. Please signup here to help us make this event a success! The Variety Show begins at 5:00pm in the APR at Hallie Wells Middle School. Attendance is free, but registration is necessary. Please signup here to attend. Concessions will be for sale - cash and credit card accepted.

For one week straight, the PTA engages in honoring our hardworking teachers and staff with themed lunches, treats, and activities. Join our outstanding Teacher Appreciation Committee with your own fresh ideas and help us make the next Appreciation Week the best ever! Please contact us at pta@wwespta.org if you'd like to help with Appreciation.


June

Invite that special grown-up in your life (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, neighbor, or friend) to join you for a special breakfast honoring their wonderful presence in our lives.  When you're done, be sure to drop by our BOGO Book Fair for a special shopping date!  More information on how to register for this special event will be shared soon. Please contact pta@wwespta.org if you'd like to help.


Our "buy one, get one free" version of Book Fair! The goal of this event is to put books in the hands of all students for summer reading. Help is needed in setup and in the Book Fair throughout the duration of this event. Day & evening shifts are available. More information is coming soon! The Book Fair is in need of a co-chair. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Danni at vicepresident@wwespta.org.


Celebrate our amazing 5th graders as they get ready to enter the next phase in their lives: middle school! A special committee (comprised of non-5th grade families) is needed to make this event memorable for our rising middle schoolers. This is a "pay it forward" form of service - as you will need a committee to help celebrate YOUR future 5th grader! Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat! Please signup here to make this a special evening for our 5th graders during their final Wims event.

Thank you to all who stopped by the PTA tent and completed a membership form. We loved seeing all of our new and returning Wildcat families!

Bring your blankets, camping chairs, and pillows and join us for a movie night under the stars! Thank you to our amazing chair, Chennell Mallicott for all of her hard work!


October

We came, we saw, we RAN!  Congratulations to our Wildcat Community for raising almost $21,000 to support the PTA activities for the rest of the school year. Thanks to you, we can now host Multicultural Night, Bingo, Variety Show, Spelling Bee, STEAM Expo & more! Way to go, Wildcats! Want to get involved with Fun Run? Each year, the PTA is proud to support our teacher-led holiday activities through special treats for our students. Thank you to all the volunteers who signed up to stuff over 530 goodie bags!


November

Calling all Grandparents! Join your Wildcat(s) for a pancake breakfast, a special Wims-themed friendship bracelet souvenir activity, professional photos by Lifetouch, exclusive shopping hours at the Book Fair, and a brief Meet & Greet in the classroom! This is a free event sponsored by the PTA. Thank you to all who attended & volunteered!


Donate a pie or several pies for this recent Wims tradition!  Our goal is to send each & every Wims staff member home with a delicious pie for their Thanksgiving Holiday.  We need 75 pies in order to send all of our staff home happy. Pies can be store-bought or made with love and can be any variety. Thank you to all who contributed pies!


Our students love Book Fair and it's a PTA favorite as well. Help is needed in setup and in the Book Fair throughout the duration of this event. Day & evening shifts are available. Please sign up here to volunteer. Volunteers are critical to the success of Book Fair.  Interested in taking on a larger role in this important event? We are looking for a co-chair! Multicultural Night is a wonderful event celebrating our diverse Wildcat Community through an evening of cultural enlightenment, diverse foods, art, artifacts, and a fabulous fashion show! Thank you to all the families who participated by hosting a table, participating in the fashion show, and attending. If you have any questions about Multicultural Night, please reach out to Natalia Winffel.


Have you been naughty or nice? This special holiday event offers our young Wildcats the chance to do their own holiday shopping! Parents or guardians are invited to help their students browse our special holiday shoppe. There's something for everyone on their list!  The PTA hopes to make this a new, annual event available on more than one evening, but we need your help!  A committee chair is needed for this event. Please reach out to the PTA if you are interested.


Doing some holiday baking? We love our teachers and would love to BAKE their day by sharing some delicious holiday treats! Thank you to all the families who shared cookies this year, making this beloved new tradition successful.


January

Bingo Night promises fun for the whole family and supports the 5th grade class promotion to middle school. Bingo Night is a sell-out event, so pre-registration is required. Interested in getting involved with the PTA? Bingo Night needs a chair! Please contact the PTA.


February

Spelling Bee takes place during the school day for interested students in grades 3-5. The 5th grade winner will move onto the Regional Bee.  Thank you to all students who participated in this year's Spelling Bee!  You all demonstrated poise, bravery, and academic accomplishment. We are proud of every student who competed! Congratulations to Siddhant Agarwal, our 5th Grade 2024 Bee Champion! Siddhant will move onto the Regional Bee and represent Wilson Wims.


Like with Halloween, the PTA is proud to support our teacher-led holiday activities through special treats for our students. Help is needed to stuff enough goodie bags for our entire school community. Thank you to all volunteers!


March

The WWES PTA is pleased to offer an annual STEM Expo, but with a twist!  We have added the "A" to welcome the arts to our S.T.E.A.M. Expo! 65% of today's students will find themselves working in careers that do not exist yet. We believe in providing students with opportunities through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Music!  Congratulations to all students who showcased a project or performance. Special thank you to all of the volunteers, especially our esteemed judges!
